Last night, I was told I had changed someone’s life: my own mentor and role model’s.
I just about lost it.
And like she told me last night, it’s probably a good time for her to leave. I’m at a place in my own development where I just need to grab it by the horns. As depressed as I am to see her go, she’ll still be around, and I can call her for advice or talk...

I almost cried, and that's a bigger deal than it...
I got home at 2AM from the bar by Job A. Celebrating my primary mentor’s last day.
Lots of emotions. Laughing and drinking and joking and grumbling and sexual confusion (by some).
All ending with choice words between me and her.
I can’t effectively explain it. But it’s amazing to know that I can change lives of those that change mine.
Fuck, I’m gonna miss her at...

I've lived in Cleveland for just about 3 months...
I have to say, it’s kinda growing on me.

Cleveland has always had a mostly undeserved bad reputation, but it’s really not so bad.
Which is good. Especially since I do have a job waiting in DC.

There’s a gal at Job A who has been a major mentor to me ever since I was hired. She did most of my initial job shadowing and on-the-floor training. She saw where I was having trouble and encouraged me to improve. She explained the finer points of being good at what we do. She coached me outside of my comfort zone.
Her last day is next Tuesday.
I can’t tell you how monumentally...

I want so much to help folks.
When I was working 2 jobs (back when it was Job 1 and Job 2), I would send friends in need whatever I could to help.
I want to be in that position again. I love helping people so much.
So for now, I will provide emotional support. If I may say so, I am especially good at that.
