Christmas Eve Gift
Every year, without fail, on Christmas Eve, after dinner, my sister and I start to harass my parents about opening one present before Christmas Day itself. We’ll start up by saying, no context:
“CHRISTMAS EVE GIFT!”
And on and on, til we get one. And then we open ours, and generally it’s nothing exceptionally jump-out-and-grab-you, but that’s not the point....

Christmas at work
Last year, just before Christmas, I was laid off by my full time job.
This year, just before Christmas, I got to mop up after a massive sewage pipe clog as quickly as possible before the store opened at my Job 1 part time job.
I still think this year turned out better.

I wonder what’ll happen just before Christmas at part time Job 2 tonight…
Holiday season
Job 2 is open til 10 this week, which means we have to stay til 11 to close up, which means I get home at 12, which means only about 3.5 hours of sleep when I get up to go to Job 1.
I’ve done this two nights/days in a row, and I now have the mental capacity of a zombie.
